ABOUT
Originally from Bedfordshire, with strong family ties to the Isle of Wight, I have been based in West London since the early 1990s.
I founded my own practice in 2007, following senior roles at Mackenzie Wheeler Architects, where I was an Associate in a multi-disciplinary studio with an integrated interior design team. Prior to this, I worked with the in-house architects at the Royal Academy of Arts, gaining valuable experience on cultural projects.
Since establishing my practice, I have worked on a wide range of residential and refurbishment projects. Alongside client work, I have also undertaken several of my own property renovations and extensions, often carrying out much of the work myself. This practical, hands-on experience gives me an insight into how things are built on site, grounding my designs in real-world construction knowledge.
Before training as an architect, I studied Fine Art (BA Hons), specialising in house portraiture and private commissions — a practice I continue today (see here). My creative interests also extend into fine art photography [link to come], another way of exploring composition, light and form. This artistic foundation continues to shape my architectural work, bringing a strong sense of detail and proportion to every project.
Outside of architecture and fine art, I am also an experienced professional drummer, having performed with internationally recognised artists and supported major acts. More about my music can be found here.
